What's Going On Right Now (Chapter 3)

At the end of Chapter 2, Sulome and Alton, with Alton's army of wild elves, destroyed the last real high elven city, Taredhellim. But because of a confrontation between the two Sages, Sulo banished Alton from the Sacred Grove, and Alton fled with the remainder of his wild elves to the Frozen West, where he is recovering his strength and forming his own sect of the Dark Druidism.

Sulome spent a few weeks hunting down and killing the few wild elves trapped in the Grove by his crystal spell, and then vanished from the surface of the Expanse; no one seems to know where he went. The Grove is guarded by an entity made up of shards of his crystal spell, in the shape of the long-dead druid Jaed Nimnar.

Due south, Lienad Semrig, the first of the free Mortisites, is overseeing the repair of the Mortisites' Village and trying to keep peace between the Mortisites and the high elven refugees from Taredhellim. To the far west, the hierarchy of the continent-kingdom of Darriniw appear to be taking a new interest in the foul magical lands of the Expanse, and the Order of the Burning Fist are gathering their forces for plans as yet unknown...
