Welcome to the Site. The very first thing to do is the painful task of reading through the rules of the site. I know as well as anyone how annoying it can be, but as in all RPGs there are rules set down to make sure nothing (or very few things) goes wrong. Click here to go to the Welcome and Rules board, which can be found on the main page under the category "The Menel".
Create a Character. Before you can actually put yourself in a storyline, you have to create your own character. Click here to go to the Profiles subboard (under "The Kemen" on the main page) and click on "New Thread" to create your own unique character.
A thread is another word for a topic, on a forum like this one.
VERY IMPORTANT! Read the Profile Rules before you post your first profile!
At first you can only have one character. To get any more, you will need to enroll at the Dark Druid University (see below)
Joining the Story. You know the rules and you have a character -- now it's time to join the story! There are several stories going on at the same time, but the main story centers around the practice called the Dark Druidism, based in the Sacred Grove in the center of the Expanse.
- You can join any story (with permission), or start your own. Just post wherever you want your character to start.
Earning More Characters. When you first join you will only be allowed one character slot. If you want to earn more, you'll need to enroll in the "Dark Druid University" (under "The Menel"). Click here to start enrolling. There are four "colleges", each run by one of the staff members and assisted by another. NOTE: Just because you have character slots doesn't mean you have to use them.
To earn your second character slot, you must pass the College of General RP Skills.
To be able to use NPCs, you must have two character slots and also attain a green star rank.
To earn a third slot, you must have two character slots and pass either the Battling or Storywriting College.
To earn a fourth slot, you must have three character slots and pass either the Storywriting or Battling College (the one you haven't done yet).
To earn a fifth slot, you must have four character slots and pass the Character Development College.
Social Life. This RPG (role-playing game) is not all about pretend. If you visit The OOC (Out-of-Character) Lounge (under "The Kemen"), you will be able to post about non-Dark-Druid things and play games with your fellow members. Click here to go to the OOC Lounge.
